A nosy is a very common problem in children. This happens when the nasal cavity is full with an important amount of mucus liquid. The color of the mucus may vary as of clear to pale or yellow to green.

  • For very small children, turn the bathroom into a steam room by closing the door as well as turning the shower on full hot. Take your child into the bathroom and sit there with your child for 10 to 15 minutes. Do this 3 or 4 times a day.
  • For older children, you can choose to use a facial steamer. Sit with your child on your lap and bend over a bowl of hot water with a towel over your head to catch the steam.   • For young children, give a few basil leaves with a little jiggery to consume two times daily.
  • For elder children, give a few fresh basil leaves to chew up before breakfast every morning as well as before going to bed.
  • Otherwise, extract 1 tablespoon of juice from fresh aromatic plant leaves. Mix the aromatic plant juice with equal amounts of ginger juice, lemon juice, and honey. Give your child this mixture 3 or 4 times a day.

3.Honey: Honey is another effective remedy for a nosy in a child who is 1 years of age or older. For small children, honey should not be used as it may cause microorganisms that reason botulism.

  • Mix 2 teaspoons of raw honey in a glass of warm water. Give this to your kid to drink 2 times a day.
  • Instead, mix 1 tablespoon of honey and the half teaspoon of fresh lemon juice in a glass of warm water. Give it to your child to drink as it is still warm. Repeat two times a daily.
